A Grand Entrance, Reimagined

The entryway of a home is the perfect opportunity to make a statement and nothing does that better than a pair of bold red doors. Our client loved her original front entry doors so much that she asked us to recreate them with the same style, but using premium materials and refined craftsmanship to elevate the result.

We constructed the new set from solid-core mahogany, carefully sized to fit the existing jamb. The exterior was painted in a vibrant red to protect the wood from the elements, while the interior was stained to highlight the natural beauty of mahogany’s rich grain.

Each door consisted of nearly 40 individual pieces, meticulously sequenced to ensure a continuous grain flow.

The panels were cut from the same boards, while the stiles and rails were book-matched, creating a seamless and harmonious look. This required precise planning and execution, every piece had to be placed exactly where it belonged.

For the finishing touch, we hand-crafted cross mullions to hold the individual glass panes in place, adding both function and elegance.

The result is a set of entry doors that stays true to the original design but reflects timeless craftsmanship and modern durability, a statement piece that will welcome guests for years to come.
