Modern Function, Classic Craftsmanship

This project required not just woodworking skill, but a deep commitment to precision and detail. Our client had a beautiful set of existing cabinets designed to house a 30” television. With today’s larger TV sizes, the cabinet no longer fit their needs — so we recreated it, piece by piece, to match the original while accommodating a much larger screen.
We began by taking precise measurements of every element of the original cabinet, down to the molding profiles and contours. Using solid cherry wood, we built a new unit that seamlessly integrates into the existing set. The cabinet was then carefully stained to match the surrounding woodwork, with the understanding that cherry naturally deepens in color as it ages.
For function, we included thoughtful upgrades:
A TV swivel mount secured to cherry plywood, framed to give the appearance of an art piece
Power outlets and access holes behind the unit to keep cords concealed and organized
Structural durability designed to handle modern televisions while maintaining a refined, traditional look
The finished cabinet blends effortlessly into the existing system, enhancing both form and function. What was once a dated, undersized cabinet is now a statement piece that bridges timeless craftsmanship with modern living.
